First Woman Lion's International President

Kerrville,  Texas- We were honored to have our first woman Lion's International President come to Texas where she spoke at the Texas Lion's Governors Convention.  This is Lion's International President Gudrun Yngvadottir from Gardabar, Iceland, she is a biomedical scientist and worked in research,  education,  and management. Since 1990 she has worked at the University of Iceland as Vice Director of Continuing Education. She is the new International President for over 1.4 million Lion's around the world.
   Texas Lion's were honored to also have our own Past International President Everett J. Grindstaff (1982), who is a member of the Ballinger Noon Lion's Club 2A1-District welcome the new International President.
  2A1 Lions District Global Leadership Chairwoman and state TLERC board member Carole Brown from East Angelo Lion's Club-San Angelo was honored to be pinned by International President Yngvadottir. The Presidents Message is "Beyond the Horizon".  "We'll reach within our district,  clubs and selves to reach levels of humanitarian good the world has never known
