San Antonio, TX – Today, Jay Hulings’ campaign will launch its first TV ads in the San Antonio Democrat’s bid for Congress in Texas’ 23rd congressional district, one of the most competitive swing districts in the country. The ads feature Hulings at the U.S. – Mexico border in Del Rio, TX, where Hulings worked for years as a federal prosecutor taking on drug cartels and corrupt politicians of both parties. The son of a Mexican-American family, Hulings sends a clear message: He is running for Congress to stop Trump from destroying the American Dream.

The two ads, English and Spanish, launch the same day as Trump’s first State of The Union address, and in the middle of a heated national debate on immigration. As President Trump continues to push divisive policies that tear families apart, Hulings emphasizes that the key to supporting our families isn’t fear or walls – it’s jobs and education.

Jay Hulings is a Democrat running to represent Texas’ 23rd congressional district. He has spent the greater part of the last decade as a federal prosecutor in San Antonio and on the US-Mexico border in Del Rio, Texas, where he specialized in public corruption, national security and organized crime prosecutions.
