SAN ANGELO–Seven days of activities planned by Angelo State University in conjunction with Homecoming 2016 with the theme, Roscoe's top 100, actually Sunday, Oct. 2 and concluded with this morning's Homecoming Parade which started downtown at 11 a.m.



Last weekend, Sunday, Oct. 2 kicked-off activities with ASU's 20th Annual Brisket Cook-off and Washer Tournament.

On Monday, Oct. 3, was the formal presentation of King and Queen Nominees. 

Tuesday, Oct. 4th, 2016 was Search and Find Contest. At 7:00 p.m. was a Ram Remembrance--a candlelight ceremony remembering Ram Family members - students, alumni, faculty and staff - who have passed away since Sept. 1, 2015.

Wednesday, Oct. 5th, was a Step Contest Preliminary Round.

On Thursday, Oct. 6th, a Philanthropy Event, then later a Blue and Gold Party.

Friday, Oct. 7th was the Homecoming: Golden Exes Luncheon, a reunion of graduates celebrating 50 or more years since their graduation from ASU, ASC, SAJC, or SAC. Later at 6:00 p.m. a Run-through Sign Contest took place.
A Homecoming--Honorees Dinner--A celebration of the annual Alumni Association Awards followed afterward.
Then the Step Show Finals performance by the ASU Cheerleaders and Angelettes was at 8 p.m.; a pep rally also took place at the same time. ASU concluded the evening with their 9:30 p m. bonfire.



The homecoming festivities concluded with Saturday's 11:00 a.m. parade under cool temperatures as ASU community was joined by San Angeloans who saw a total of 47 floats from student organizations, the Ram Band, ASU’s Air Force ROTC, the Alumni Honorees, King and Queen finalist, and several community groups, participate.
The parade was presented by the ASU Homecoming Committee and the San Angelo Downtown Association.

The week-long ASU Homecoming celebration would culminate later in the evening with the ASU Rams vs Oklahoma Pandhandle State Aggies, 6 p.m. game and the announcement of King and Queen at half-time.
