SAN ANGELO – Over 150 volunteers representing more than 14 local and area businesses came together Saturday morning to participate in the United Way of the Concho Valley’s Day of Caring. The day began with the 2017 Annual Campaign Kick-off at the Celebration Bridge.

The Day of Caring was a mobilization of volunteers to celebrate the spirit of giving through service by providing a morning of meaningful volunteer opportunities. “The Day of Caring demonstrated that volunteer efforts are vital to the well-being of our community.  Additionally, it provided the volunteers with a first-hand look at the services provided by local agency programs supported by the United Way,” said Joe Munoz, 2017 United Way Campaign Chair.

The 2017 Campaign theme is “Change Starts Here.”  It reflects the need for all Concho Valley residents to join together to ensure that every child, every senior citizen, every individual and every family has the opportunity to live healthy, productive lives and that they have access to necessary services when they need them.
