SAN ANGELO, TX – The Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation, based in Dallas, TX, awarded the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) $30,000 to benefit in the purchase of a 24- passenger shuttle bus.

The shuttle bus will be used for ADACCV’s Residential Treatment Programs. ADACCV anticipates that the shuttle bus will be instrumental in the safe and comfortable transport of clients to and from appointments, meetings and recovery-friendly functions.

The grant award from the King Foundation has not only added the shuttle bus to our fleet, but will help reduce the wear and tear on our existing, aging vehicles.

The shuttle bus will also be important as ADACCV expands services with the Journey Recovery Center. The Journey Recovery Center is the consolidation of ADACCV’s residential treatment programs, which are currently in two separate locations. The 20,000+ square foot facility will serve twice as many clients and add detox services for the indigent population.
