Conexión San Ángelo/ Staff report

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Leaders from Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo ISD, and the San Angelo Fine Arts Museum will come together for a ribbon cutting ceremony dedicating building 901 to the new Starbase program on October 4 at 2 p.m. at Goodfellow Air Force Base. 

In partnership with SAISD the Starbase program will schedule over 1,200 5th graders to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics focused activities, exposing them to various technical opportunities and to the military environment. This is the 4th Starbase program in the state of Texas. 

Col Ricky Mills, 17th training wing commander, Mr. Howard Taylor, Director, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, Mr. Rodney Mayberry, Board President, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, and Dr. Carl Dethloff, Superintendent, SAISD will cut the ribbon.  There will also be tours of the facility and light refreshments.
