GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE– Goodfellow AFB hosted an event celebrating the arrival of fire trucks from the San Angelo Fire Department for maintenance on base at 9 a.m. on October 31.

The renewed initiative is one of 12 memorandums of understanding with San Angelo. This memorandum of agreement would enable the City to receive free maintenance on fire trucks in exchange for free ambulance services for the base. The initiative is expected to save up to $45,000 annually on labor costs for the City of San Angelo and $76,000 on ambulance services for the government.

Among the Members of the the 17th Training Wing leadership were Colonel, Ricky Mills and his staff, the 17th Civil Engineer fire department and the 17th Mission Support Group.

San Angelo community leaders in attendance were: City Manager, Daniel Valenzuela, assistant City Managers Rick Weise and Michael Dane, and Fire Department Chief, Brian Dunn.
