Conexión San Ángelo/ Staff report

SAN ANGELO – As we approach Thanksgiving, will you think about sponsoring one of our angels on our Christmas Angel Tree to bring joy to one of our migrant children. Remember, our farm workers are the people who put food on our tables and the nice clothes we wear when we sit down together. Our families are working at the dairy farms, cotton fields, slaughter house, etc. in our region. They live in our rural areas were they don’t have time to go to the nearest Salvation Army to register their children to an Angel Tree. Our migrant program has created an Angel Tree for our migrant students. Our families did not request this or ask for it but we wanted to provide gifts for the children who might not have anything for Christmas and make them ALL feel the excitement of Christmas.

If you have ever been to one of our PAC (parent advisory council meeting) in the Fall, you know that Santa comes to visit the children. This year Santa will bring one gift to each of our angels. If you are interested in getting a gift to one of our migrant children,

1. Please contact Alex Nieto ext: 2152 or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . (She will give you a child or a family)

2. We do have angels for the family that will get a $20-$25 blanket from you (you can decide on any size/color/material)

3. From the child’s wish list that will be given to you, pick one item from that list (price range is $20-$25)

4. Bring WRAPPED gift by December 4th

Santa will bring the gift at our PAC meeting on December 7th. Thank you for always supporting our migrant program and making a difference to our families in our Region!
