SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo TEA Party will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 9th , 6:30 pm at the West Texas Training Center, 3501 N. Hwy. 67 (Howard College Campus). Guest speaker will be Brad Wells of the Tom Green County Appraisal Office. Mr. Wells will explain how our current property tax system works and then answer questions from attendees. Knowing how the system works is important, particularly if at some point you want to challenge the result or offer suggestions for improvement. Property tax is certain to again be a hot topic when the Texas Legislature convenes in 2019.

Goals of the San Angelo TEA Party are to educate, motivate, and inspire fellow citizens to actively participate in the political process. The SATP is guided by the basic principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, sovereignty of Texas and the United States, and adherence to the Constitutions of the United States and of Texas. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month and are always open to the public. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
