SAN ANGELO - Today’s society has normalized unhealthy relationships, bullying, name-calling and much more. There is a whopping 22% of women and 15% of men first experience some sort of dating violence between the age of 11 and 17 years of age. The ultimate goal would be to stop dating violence before it even starts, by doing so we want to promote healthy relationships and also tips for parents on how to talk to their teens, also stressing the importance of talking to their teens about these subjects. This is what I would like to do with the screening of Audrie and Daisy. It’s a time for teens and parents to come together to see some real-life experiences of how teen dating violence has affected lives and throw some ideas around of how we can help individually put an end to it.
