SAN ANGELO – Angelo State University’s Department of Communication and Mass Media will host its second Media Convergence Seminar featuring media and broadcasting leaders from five states on Friday, April 6, in the Porter Henderson Library, located on 2025 S. Johnson St.

The seminar will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in several rooms on the third floor of the library and is open free to the public. Anyone interested in the communication field and broadcast media, particularly those considering a career in broadcasting, is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet, learn from, and network with top media professionals.

Topics relevant to the communication and mass media industry will be addressed, including:

• The Media Industry in 2018

• How to Get that First Job

• How to Network

• The Social Media Environment

• News and Sports Broadcasting

• Media Production

• Live critiques of student work

Featured speakers for the seminar will include representatives from local and national broadcast and print media, college athletics broadcasting and professional broadcasting:
