SAN ANGELO – Eight San Angelo Fire Stations now has a fellow-brethren who has its back as Firehouse Subs has one common interest with these first responders — its website states that their “subs (sandwiches) save lives as a portion of purchase goes toward providing life-saving equipment for first responders.”

Firehouse Subs, 5789 Sherwood Way, officially held its’ ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. today at their new, 2,363 square footage building that houses 40 employees. The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce and its welcoming group, the Concho Cadre were on hand to welcome its newest chamber member.

With so many sandwich businesses in town, what is the difference between yours and others?

“We steam our meats and cheeses and we pile it on high.” “We toast our breads and the produce is always fresh, for a flavor that sets us apart,” said owner, Chad Fulkerson.

Firehouse is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
