SAN ANGELO - West Texas Rehab hosted their 36th annual Spring Chicken Affair Sunday afternoon, serving an old fashioned fried chicken dinner to those in attendance.

Sunny skies and empty stomachs called for a large turnout at the 36th annual Spring Chicken Affair.

Volunteers from various groups offered a helping hand.

Daniel McBride, in his 13th year volunteering, said that he has seen the event run more smooth each year and good weather is always a positive attribute to the event.

“Our part is to be with the community and promote a great cause,” said Robert Morales, volunteer with Baptist Retirement Community. “Some of our residents utilize the services of West Texas Rehab, so it’s our way to say thank you for what they do for us.”

“This event is a great opportunity to get together as a community, to network, have some family time, and support a good cause which is West Texas Rehab,” said CJ Muniz, board member of West Texas Rehab.
