SAN ANGELO, TEXAS— Dancing with the Stars announced their all-star cast of professional athletes who will compete in the upcoming 25th season of the biggest dance party scheduled to dance-off on April 30th. 

Locally, the San Angelo Symphony will have their own DWTS pros: Anna Trebunskaya and Dmitry Chaplin, as the symphony season concludes with a 7:30 p.m. “sequins and spray-on-the-tans” big dance party this weekend, Saturday, April 21 at the Junell Center/ Stephens Arena. This year's theme is Dance to the Movies.

Trebunskaya is a professional ball room and Latin dancer well known for her appearances on season 2 of Dancing with the Stars with her dance partner, football star Jerry Rice. Also joining the stage is Dmitry Chaplin best known for being a Top 10 finalist on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance Season 2. 

For this big finale dance party, Maestro Guzman stated that the Symphony will spend two rehearsals and a total of five hours of practice.

“It’s going to be a challenge to put it together, but we are looking forward to it.”

Señor Guzman likes to get together informally with the professionals prior to the rehearsals so they can compare notes. “The reason we get together is to make sure that the tempos are right.” “Sometimes tempo maybe too slow or too fast and also to learn the cues of when to play and when not to play.”

• Somewhere Over the Rainbow

• Moulin Rouge medley

• La Bamba

• Dirty Dancing 

• Unchained Medley from the movie—Ghost 

• Medley from Frozen, the movie

• Medley from the Broadway show, Chicago

• “I Will Always Love You” theme from the movie—Bodyguard

• “My Heart will Go On” theme from the movie—Titanic
