SAN ANGELO – May 3, 2018, construction is underway at Sunset Mall for a nearly 15,000 square foot fitness center.

Fitness 1440 is set to open in the fall of 2018.  The franchise location is locally owned by Chris and Cheryl DeLeon.

“Our vision is to give back to the community, lead by example and be a fun and positive change to San Angelo, all while being the number one resource to help people achieve their health and fitness goals,” said Chris DeLeon.

Fitness 1440 will offer a variety of activities such as personal training, cycling, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Yoga with Less Mills, free weights and machines. The gym will offer unique training aspects such as Cardio Theater and Target 24.

The DeLeons are fitness advocates who wanted to share their passion with others.

“Fitness 1440 was the perfect Segway into being business owners and was an easy decision because it’s a gym that encompasses all the same morals as us. We wanted a gym whose priorities are to make every member feel like family and be an influential part of our community. Fitness 1440 embodies those things.”

Every time a member checks-in to the gym on Facebook, Fitness 1440 will donate to a local charity. That impact will be displayed on-site at Fitness 1440. Fitness 1440 plans to employ up to fifteen people. The center will announce a membership campaign prior to opening. In the meantime, follow Fitness 1440 San Angelo on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
