SAN ANGELO – And down the stretch they come, the For vs Against votes cast as the leaderboard [Tom Green County Elections Office’ website] posted unofficial cumulative results in Saturday’s San Angelo Independent School District Bond Election. By a narrow 3-vote victory, the ISD bond passed.

The 3,044 votes cast For, represented a 50.02 percent, compared to the 3,041 votes, Against which represented 49.98 percent. The total number of voters: 7,400 of 63,753 = reflected 11.61 percent

Final canvassing of votes will become official at SAISD’s May 14 school board meeting.
