SAN ANGELO – First State Bank of Paint Rock’s motto ““Serving the Concho Valley since 1910” has kept the institution in business for 108 years based on a four-legged model: location, great service, low staff turnover and loyal customers.

First State Bank of Paint Rock in its 21st year in business here at its San Angelo Branch Office, incorporated two 21st century new technological changes.

In addition to our Internet services, We’ve added mobile apps to our banking services for our customers.” “Also, we recently added mobile deposit where you can scan a copy of your check and deposit, because we had a lot of requests for that,” said Mr. Dean McIntyre, Vice Chairman & President, FSBPR.

FSBPR San Angelo Branch office is located at 402 Smith Blvd.

The changes with mobile deposit took place last June and the scanned copies of check occurred earlier in April. McIntyre stated that since the changes have taken place, there has been an increase in the use of the mobile app which has made it easier for their on-the-go customers. As for the mobile deposit, it has not been marketed so much because FSBPR is trying to work out the kinks to avoid a bad launch.

In concluding the interview, Conexión asked McIntyre since being named president eight years ago what one key he learned that that has made his job easier?

“Mainly what I am learning is to delegate better.” “In delegating, it is empowering others to do more; and they have a better appreciation for their job.”
