SAN ANGELO – After three weeks into a 10-week program called The Summer Kids World, the featured group for June 20 was Ballet San Angelo as the choice of kid friendly interactive programs and crafts for kids, ages 12 and under.

BSA Artistic Director, Sandra Miller, Sara Beth Terral, Marketing Director, Nico Covington and other dance members were on hand to give the children a look into the world of ballet dancing.

Sara Beth gave the kids a brief introduction into the fundamental steps of ballet and modern dancing. Sara explained to the kids the differences between classical dancing and contemporary ballet; then Nico did a mini performance dressed in her regal outfit.

Miller stated that Ballet San Angelo is gearing up for the fall campaign as it starts classes on August 27th in preparation for The Nutcracker which is scheduled for December.

As for the next scheduled Tuesday, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. SKW event, Joe Ardito, Sunset Mall Marketing Manager, informed Conexión that it would be the Southwest TaeKwon- Do to perform marital arts.

The Summer Kids World program, which concludes the children’s events on August 7 is at the Sunset Mall and is free.
