SAN ANGELO–Friday's District 2-6A game for the 7th ranked pinball offensive scoring machine, San Angelo Central High, stayed true to form as the 'Cats deep-sixed its opponent, the Tigers, by a 42-point margin, winning 63-21.

Besides going unbeaten, the Bobcats of Coach Brent Davis, accomplished two other perfect records. The first one involved the rivalry between Brent and brother, Brad, who coached the Frenship Tigers. This made the third time, Brent faced Brad. And again, Brent's 'Cats made him 3-0 in a district game but more importantly kept Central undefeated at 3-0, 7-0 overall.

One other interesting fact check, in regards to perfect, the Bobcats have now won 20 straight home games at San Angelo Stadium, dating back to 2012.

"Cats' Daven Manning was "factor back" as he accounted for 30 points, scoring five touchdowns before the half.

As for the game itself, Central scored midway through the first quarter when on second down and 10, Daven Manning scores. After PAT is good, CHS leads 7-0.

Frenship can't do anything on their series; Bobcats on second consecutive drive get another touchdown, courtesy of Manning as he easily gets in from the 4-yard line. Central now leads 14-0 with 4:37 left in the first quarter.

Again Frenship has difficulty getting untracked as a chop block while trying to get the first down on fourth sets them back.

Central takes advantage and makes the Tigers pay on a big-time play from Vincent to Adam West who catches a deep ball down the right sideline.
West then finishes off the scoring by being rewarded from Vincent who throws the ball to his 6' 5" receiver who out-jumps defender to score from 6-yards out. With less than a minute to go in the first quarter, the 'Cats lead, 21-0.

The Bobcats marshall down the field again and "factor back," Manning gets his third touchdown of the first half when he scores up the middle from the Tigers' 11-yard line. Daven actually scores five touchdowns in the first half alone. With PAT good, it's CHS 28-0 at 7:38 left in the second quarter.

Central's defense gets their offense the ball back when cornerback, Dedrick Howard, intercepts the ball and returns it for 67 yards.
The Bobcats go in at half-time with 42-14 lead. Oh and as for those 14 points by Frenship? In the second quarter, Tigers' fullback, Bolton Huerta scores from 11-yards out. Then quarterback, Chandler Brand, connects with receiver, Adryane Adkins from 63-yards.

In the second half, Central puts up 21 more points, consisting of two touchdowns in the third and one in the fourth quarter. Frenship is only able to get one more touchdown in the third quarter. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 3-5, 1-3 in district.

The 'Cats next assigned opponent is the Permian Panthers in Odessa, next Friday, Oct. 21. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from Ratliff Stadium.
