SAN ANGELO - The Angelo State baseball team will play its first home series of the 2018 season this weekend, facing Southwestern Oklahoma State in three games at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.

The Rams (4-0) will start the series at 4 p.m. on Friday followed by a 2 p.m. game on Saturday and the series finale at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Free beanies will be given out to the first 100 students at Friday's game.

ASU was led to a perfect opening weekend at the Air Hogs D-II Classic by outfielder Michael Urquidi, who was name the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week for his performance. Urquidi did everything to help the Rams score during the four games. The junior got on base 13 total times with six hits, four walks and three hit-by-pitches without striking out once to hit .500. He also swiped four bags, scored five times, and is one of just two Rams with a pair of multi-hit games already.
