WACO, Texas – The Angelo State Rams football team suffered a heartbreaking loss Saturday night as the Central Oklahoma Bronchos erased an 18-point deficit in the second half to win the 2018 Heart of Texas Bowl, 41-34.
The Rams (6-6) got career performances from Payne Sullins and Keke Chism, but were unable to hold off the late Broncho (8-4) rally.
Central Oklahoma controlled the game for the first 16 minutes of play, hitting a field goal in the first quarter and scoring the game's first touchdown less than a minute into the second quarter to take a 10- lead.
