EAGLE PASS, Texas –U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Eagle Pass South Station Marine Unit located a deceased individual in the Rio Grande March 10.
Upon further investigation, the individual matched the description of a four-year-old child reported missing March 4.
On March 4, a group of migrants was encountered by Texas National Guard soldiers near Eagle Pass. When agents responded, they were informed that a Nicaraguan women stated she had dropped her child in the river and was swept away. Border Patrol agents and air support searched the area but could not find the missing child. The child’s body was located by Marine Unit agents on the morning of March 10.

Agentes de Eagle Pass recuperan cuerpo de niño desaparecido

EAGLE PASS, Texas – EE. UU. Los agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza asignados a la Unidad Marina de la Estación Sur de Eagle Pass localizaron a una persona fallecida en el Río Grande el 10 de marzo.
Luego de una mayor investigación, el individuo coincidió con la descripción de un niño de cuatro años que se reportó como desaparecido el 4 de marzo.
El 4 de marzo, soldados de la Guardia Nacional de Texas encontraron a un grupo de migrantes cerca de Eagle Pass. Cuando los agentes respondieron, se les informó que una mujer nicaragüense declaró que había dejado caer a su hijo en el río y se la llevó. Los agentes de la Patrulla Fronteriza y el apoyo aéreo registraron el área pero no pudieron encontrar al niño desaparecido. El cuerpo del niño fue localizado por agentes de la Unidad de Marina en la mañana del 10 de marzo.
