Easter’s Peter Rabbit appears at the Maze Conexion San Angelo newsroom, Jim Sánchez
Patricia Wilson’s own version of Peter Rabbit, a mischievous and disobedient, hare was the main attraction to her Maze Easter weekend egg-hunt held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.SAN ANGELO – On Easter weekend every year, creator Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit makes an appearance to thousands of his young, adoring fanbase. This year only a head of the allegorical, fictional hare was made by a different creator, Patricia Wilson, a local business woman who began prepping for an Easter egg-hunt 36 days ago.
While Wilson was pressed for time to finish the rest of Peter, during those three, weeks she had her husbandbuild her a maze to debut on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Patricia’s parade of comedians, live entertainment bandacts included: Chill AF members—Dave Segoviano, and Christopher Coleman who sang Rocker, Tom Petty and the Heatbreakers’ 1989 classic “Running Down a Dream.”As for vendors, approximately 12 with one lone food truck, B-Back Food Wagon there and, Sarah Brannan’s business, “Lucy’s Dreams.”
One particular item she had on display was a beautiful designed cow skull. “My husband and I while on a motorcycle ride found it on a back road. I made him pull over so I could get it. After I painted it, it took me a week with cleaning, soaking it in bleach, painting it and placingthe stones.”
After door prizes, raffle items, a silent auction, and a cakewalk called Bunnyhop were held earlier, the evening’s activities concluded with a glow in the dark egg hunt at 8 p.m. held on the Wilson’s property, 4071 Mercedes St.
