The San Angelo Police Department was contacted from a non-involved 3rd party on March 13, 2025

of an incident that occurred at Lake View High School. The Department’s Crimes Against Children

Unit investigated this incident which involved a perceived improper relationship between a student

and staff.

This morning, San Angelo ISD Teacher Abraham Gonzales (24), turned himself in to the Tom

Green County Sheriff’s Office after a warrant had been issued for “Improper Relationship between

Educator/Student (2nd Degree Felony)”.

so an internal investigation could take place. For the sake of transparency, the San Angelo Police

Department shared all information received during the criminal investigation with the Tom Green

County Sheriff’s Office, who will be reviewing the incident to see if there was any criminal

wrongdoing.
